Liberian striker Van-Dave Harmon made his debut for FS Metta in their league cup 4-3 defeat to FK Spartaks on Monday, July 30, 2018.

FS Metta had to come from behind once in the match to take a 3-1 lead but ended the match losing 4-3 to the home side FK Spartaks.
The former Barrack Young Controller captain was not in the starting lineup of the match but was on the substitutes bench for Latvian manager Andris Riherts men.
Spartaks took the game to the visitors FS Metta with 27 years Old Russian midfielder Artemin Maleev 21 minute striker a goal they maintained up to the end of the first half whistle.
Back from the dressing room FS Metta pressured the home side to get the equalizer which was accomplished in the 58 minute with Vladislavs Fjodorovs closed range effort.
The 2017 Liberian golden boots winner came off the bench in the 60 minute for Latvian 22 years old striker Ņikita Ivanovs and didn’t take long before making an impact as he provided the assist for Metta’s second goal of the night scored by Flodorovs in the 67 minute.
The 22-year-old Liberian forward who signed a 2-year deal presence on the pitch increased his side pressure on Spartaks as his pace and great feet work could not be matched by the defenders of the home side.
Van-Dave on his debut was unable to register his name on the scoresheet as his header was saved including two deflected shots.
The former BYC captain had a one-on-one opportunity denied by Spartaks keeper after a decent ball.
Flodorovs completed his hat-trick in the 77 minute but FK Spartaks fought back stronger to equalize through Vitor Fasica and Evgeni Kobzar in the 77 and 79 minutes before Kaspars Syarups came off the bench to score the match winner in the 89th minute to end the match 4-3 in favor of FK Spartaks.
Speaking to FrontPageAfrica newspaper after his debut the young Liberia attacker said he was delighted playing his first game for the club he joined a week ago.
The net buster said he is hoping to improve on his display in their next game.
“The game was not though for me because I have played many big games, maybe the only difference was my first time playing in Europe but I am satisfied with my performance.”
“The pressure I brought from the bench was great for us and we had a great game,” Van-Dave said.
