Corneh to Officiate Algeria-Ghana Afcon U-23 Qualifier

Monrovia- Liberia FIFA-badged referee Hassan Corneh will officiate Algeria against Ghana in the first leg third round match in the under-23 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier at the Stade 19 Mai 1956 in Annaba on 22 March.

Corneh, a senior Liberian referee will be in charge of the contest, assisted by countrymen Joel Doe, assistant referee one and Ephraim Grant, assistant referee two, while Moses Forkpah would serve as fourth official.

The trio will be alongside Libya’s Gamal Salem Embaia who would serve as the match commissioner.

The experienced Liberia referee has officiated some high profile fixtures on the continent including Nigeria against Sao tome principal FIFA World Cup qualifier, Djibouti vs Burkina Faso AFCON qualifier and Gambia vs. Cape Verde in CHAN.

Meanwhile, the Liberian match officials will depart the country on March 18 for the encounter.
