Monrovia – New Liberia Kickball Federation Second Division outfit Barnersville Super Stars Kickball Club will kick off their campaign of the Liberia Kickball Federation (LKF) league today, March 8, when they face Blue Eagles at the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex.

The girls from Barnersville are making their debut appearance in the league and hopeful of a victory against Blue Eagles, who are also determined to prevent BSSKC from progressing.
The newcomers to the kickball league was defeated by first division side Vision one home run to zero in the 2019 LKF Jamboree, which is the traditional opening of the LKF League.
Head Coach Larkin Woto will depend on Benneta Louder, former player of Lofa County, twins sisters Faith Kun and Favor Kun, striker Faith Kyne and veteran pitcher Marthaline Akoi to do the damage to Blue Eagle.
According to the club president, Samir Kamara, his team is well prepared for their debut season and assured fans of club victory.
“With the level of preparation over the months and our last three practice sessions toward this match with the anxiety and momentum among my players, I’m confident of an overwhelming victory come tomorrow.
“My expectations are very high; these girls been together for a very long time. They have prepared adequately; we have put every mechanism into place and the necessary measures needed to keep the team in its best possible form. They are well-equipped in terms of materials and I can assure you that they will do their possible best in their maiden season. We have been training with other teams around and with the level of performances in training and during the test matches, I’m 100% sure that they will be a side to watch,” Kamara told FrontPageAfrica’s Sports Desk ahead of his team’s match.
“Our target is to take this team to the 1st division. It’s every player’s goal and ambition. They all know that we have set our target; we know our aims and objectives and I can assure you that we will be crowned champions of this year’s 2019 LKF National 2nd Division Kickball League and gain promotion to the first division.”
“The club’s Vice President George Nagbe is also confident of a well-deserved victory come tomorrow and to our fans and darling supporters, we want to encourage you all that come tomorrow, we want you all turn out in your numbers to cheer your Barnersville-based team to victory. We can assure you that your presence will motivate us and will give us the zeal and encourage the team to play harder and push for the must needed victory,” the club president noted.
Established in 2016, Barnersville Super Stars Kickball Club is the first team to participate in the LKF league from Barnersville. In the second game, Blacktom will face Amazon than Supreme Girls will come face to face with Success while Royal Sisters battles Faith Sisters before the last game of the day between Community Youth Empowerment (CYE) and Sirius.
