VP Taylor apologized to the President on the Truth Breakfast Show on Monday, 14 May 2018 on Truth FM.
According to her, her constant travels without informing the President contributed to some misunderstanding between her and her boss but said the situation has been resolved.
She, however, said, as Vice President, she’s the face of women on the continent, especially since Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf left power and would, therefore, have to make representations on their behalf.
Prior to today’s development, there have been speculations of bad blood between the two principal leaders of the country, with some pointing to lack of trust between the pair.
VP Taylor’s National Patriotic Party (NPP) joined the Liberia People Democratic Party (LPDP) to form a coalition with Weah’s Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) in 2016 for the purpose of willing the 2017 presidential elections.
Since their ascendency to power, members of the NPP have complained of marginalization by the coalition government, saying they are not being prioritized in appointments into government.
