
NIMBA — The National Elections Commission (NEC) has released the provisional list of eight candidates for the upcoming Nimba County Senatorial By-Election scheduled for April 22, 2025.

A total of eight aspirants have applied to contest the seat, comprising both independent candidates and those representing political parties. The list includes:
- Torbor Tee Wonokay Famgalo (Independent)
- B. Mack Gblinwon (Citizens Movement for Change – CMC)
- Edith Lianue Gongloe-Weh (Independent)
- George Parkinson Gonpu (African Democratic Movement)
- Samuel Gongben Kogar (Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction – MDR)
- Richard Matenckay Tingban (VOLT)
- Garrison Doldeh Yealue, Jr. (Independent)
- Justin Oldpa Yeazeahn alias Prophet Key (Independent)
The NEC has stated that the scrutiny process is ongoing, and any aspirant or political party may file challenges in accordance with electoral laws. The final list of qualified candidates may change based on the outcome of this process, according to NEC.
