Metzger also reiterated that Senator Biney remains expelled and called for presidential appointees holding elected positions in the party to relinquish them in compliance with the Code of Conduct.
Said Metzger, “That in keeping with section 2.9 mentioned above, Senator James P. Biney remains expelled from the NPP. Any former member of the Party who desires his/her rights to be restored, shall do a formal letter of Intent to the party to this effect for consideration by majority members of the NEC.
Adding, “That tall presidential appointees holding elected positions in the Party be made to relinquish their positions incompliance with the Code of Conduct.”
Cyril Allen, acting as Board Chairman, stated that the Board will intervene and petition the National Leadership to proceed with the party convention.
He stressed the importance of cooperation from party leaders and partisans, ensuring the process adheres to the party’s constitution and prioritizes the party’s interests over individual or group interests.
He said, “We have to understand that we have to submit ourselves to the process. We are going to guide the process, we are to submit and discuss with the stakeholders and the national leadership our petition and we will do all we can to get positive result.”
