The Chargé d’Affaires commended the government’s decentralization program and pledged continued support for accountability in government service.

In efforts to ensure transparency, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is calling for payroll and financial audits at all government institutions. The U.S. Embassy also acknowledged the performance of the Peace Building Office at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and pledged to continue to work with relevant institutions to achieve accountability and efficiency in service delivery.
