It’s been rumoured consistently over the last few days that President Joseph Nyumah Boakia is now waking up and warming up to effect major administrative changes, the first time since assuming the mantle of power under the banner of the rescue revolution. At first the echo of the rumour was heard from far away but as it stands it’s vibrating very, very near which clearly suggests that it’s being accompanied by its likely truth.

Naturally, from where smoke comes is where fire resides; from where thunder comes is where rain resides; from where stupidity comes is where wisdom resides; from where joke comes is where reality resides, etc. Thus, it appears that all ears are eager to hear and see the action of its associated truth as it relates to the spinning and whirling rumour which is said to be sprouting out from Boakia’s closet.
As a matter of reality, truth leads to freedom when it’s genuinely admitted. In freedom there’s obvious wisdom; in wisdom there’s obvious freedom. Both freedom and wisdom complement each other along the platform of life. They are designed to be men’s daily working tools as far as social, economic, cultural, religious and political engagements are concerned.
In this case, the truth has to do with the rescue revolution led by President Joseph Nyumah Boakia in whom the hope of the vast majority of the Liberian people is well vested. It can be recalled that while being inaugurated into office officially as President of the republic of Liberia in January 22, 2024 early this year, Boakai promised the Liberian people that he would purge the pus from the sore to enhance healing; meaning he would bring down perpetrators of corruption, a crime which has and continues to keep the nation and people at the level of the floor rag.
As a result of the entrenched corruption menace eating the fabric of the nation, from time to time the nation and people have and continue not to know real joy and happiness. Instead, it’s the wicked ones who are often found in high and strategic places in public life only to further the growth and development of the land. And there’s hardly social, political and economic redemption for the people, although all that we need to live as a nation and people here on this part of the earth called Liberia are made available and affordable graciously and miraculously by the almighty God. Sadly, we continue to bow low to abject poverty simply because a few individuals who find themselves at the hem of power would take pleasure in personal aggrandizement at the disadvantage of the common people.
For instance, we need not go to heaven to search for gold, diamonds and other mineral resources. We need not go to heaven to procure fertilizer for our soil because it’s naturally fertilized. The forest remains greenly green; the rivers are in abundance, amongst other things which are made available and affordable to us yet still we are told pastorally to keep praying to God for blessings, keep paying tithes for God to bless our hands, keep fasting for as many times as possible for God to see us as being faithful, amongst other things.
Like the multitude of ears, mine is eager to hear the truth as it relates to the rumour. My eyes too are eager to see the true rescue actions including weeding out the rotten apples, subtracting the fake rescuers, living up to the rescue promises made and keeping the hope of the Liberian people alive.
It’s regrettable to see some rescuers behaving like crucifiers. It’s shameful to see certain rescuers now dressed in white garments while celebrating birthdays in grandstyle, drinking aristocratic wine, riding aristocratic cars, although those they vowed to rescue are being drowned by abject poverty.
It makes no sense to see a cat ambitiously wanting to be a leopard prematurely. It’s understood when the fool wears a crown and still behaves like a fool and not when the wise man wears a crown and behaves like a fool. In other words, no one will forgive this sitting rescue government whenever it repeats the errors and terrors of the the previous Weah pro-poor government.
The fact remains that this is a government that’s highly perceived as being experienced and wise regarding governance matters. It’s a government that’s expected to behave like a caring mother who will leave hunger in her stomach and strive to quench that which is in the stomach of the hungry kid.
It’s a government which is expected to remember the pains and suffering of the nation and people over the past years under the pro-poor adminstration. It’s a government that’s expected to know that a political accident occurs whenever a few greedy individuals prefer to reap the yolk of the land and breed poverty, lawlessness and mysterious killings, amongst other things.
It’s pathetic however that most of those calling themselves rescuers are taking advantage of the old age of President Joseph Nyumah Boakia and they’re on merrymaking spree. This was the similar situation in the George Weah administration where most of his followers took advantage of his political ignorance and massively siphoned the wealth of the land personal gains.
Against this background Boakai needs to borrow the strength and spirit of the sun which never fails to defeat the challenging darkcloud, if and when he’s to successfully lead the people to the Promised Land. He needs to bid farewell to the spirit of friendship, nepotism, tribalism, sectionalism, etc. and lead the revolution in line with the real ARREST agenda. He needs to know that he’s the last button on Joe’s coat, meaning that he’s the last hope of the hopeless Liberian people and as such, should he fail to be the desired rescuer, then the future of the country will ever remain in the hands of political vultures.
Let him close his eyes, bid farewell to unfounded mercy as done by the late President Tolbert and weed out the weedy weeds, meaning those who smile politically yet will have bad political hearts. The strength of the wind is never realized until it’s breaking down the giant size trees. In the coming days I would like to expose and disgraced the rescue enemies, rescue amphibians, rescue chameleons and rescue liars all of whom are under the banner of the rescue regime only to make sure that this government fails. They’re dreaming about power in 2029 and as such they can never be sincere. They’re like leeches which are heavily present to where the fish are only to suck their blood. Leeches are never good friends to the fish but enemies in disguise.
Indeed, Boakia needs to know that power is a political seed which is intended to be sowed and produce the fruits called Peaceful Coexistence, Justice For All, Nationalism, National Love and Unity and Economic Stability; it becomes useless when it’s sowed to produce the fruits called Tribalism, Greed and Selfishness, Poverty, Injustice and Marginalization.
Recommendation
From the depth of my heart, I wish to recommend as follows:
1. Pres. Boakai should bid farewell to the honeymoon period and start active operations
2. President Boakia should be like the fire which would prove its strength by burning those objects right under its feet
3. He should be like the cat which would begin its aggression against the rats by first eating some of its kittens
4. He should know that now is time to separate the sheep from the goats
5. He should be like the spider’s web which never spares the lives of the stubborn mosquitoes or flies
5. He should be like the late President Tolbert who paused his friendship and placed the interest of the nation first
