MONROVIA – The National Youth League of the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 gathered in their thousands to memorialize the fallen of Hon. Adolph A. Lawrence of District #15 Montserrado County.
Speaking at the program held in district #15 Montserrado, Emmanuel M. Johnson the Secretary General of the Youth League of CDC expressed the party deepest condolences to the bereaved family , the people of district #15 and the illustrious partisans of the mighty Congress for Democratic Change for the loss of a statesmen and partisans of the mighty Coalition for Democratic Change.
“We have come to memorialize the fallen of a partisan, a man who died as a cedecian and we have also come to remind those ‘hatepositions’ that the people are awake to protect what they labored for, what they were killed for the past twelve years. As Adolph was a decent man, so as the party remain Liberia’s most peaceful and democratic party headed by an illustrious patriots in President George M. Weah.” Secretary General Emammuel M. Johnson lamented.
Mr. Johnson who spoke on behalf of the National Executive Committee of the Revolutionary National Youth League intimated that, the Mighty Congress for Democratic Change remains Liberia’s most popular mass based revolutionary grassroots movement that is here to redeem the poor from abject poverty and as such the “ Pro-Poor Agenda for prosperity “ is the mantra for national development.
He said, “We have come to celebrate the home going of a partisan as tradition we practice as one family. We will like to use this medium to inform those hates mongers and doom day’s prophet that this country is on an irreversible path to national development under the dynamic leadership of President Weah. We have come to redeem and reclaim the sanctity of Montserrado County and inform you that District #15 remains the property of the mighty Congress for Democratic Change (CDC). Mr. Johnson questioned the lack of patriotism been exhibited by the current opposition who he refered to as “Protest Hatepositions”
“Who in their right frame of mind will pray for development not to come to your own country? Who in their right frame of mind will pray for sanction on your own country? Only in Liberia we see people who are still practicing to be opposition with hates beclouding their sense of reasoning will wish bad and evil for their country”. Mr. Johnson intimated.
Also speaking at the program, the Vice Chair for Administration and Acting Chair of the Youth League Miss Josephine W.A. Davies caution partisans of the CDC to remain steadfast and ignore the hate messages been spewed by members of the opposition noting that the CDC government is focused on building more roads and transforming the lives of the ordinary people.
“Like Clara to Doe Community road, Pipeline, Tusa field, the Southeast, Nimba and many roads been constructed around the country; this is what the government is focus on. Focus on impacting the lives of the ordinary people and lifting them from poverty” She said.
She also called on all Cedecians to unite and defend what they struggle for the past twelve years. “We have to unite as cedecians to defend the sanctity of our country and its people. This is our country, we have got nowhere to go and we must unite in building country” The program which saw the gargantuan convergence of thousands of partisans of the Coalition for Democratic Change from district #15 and nearby districts was the party own way under the auspice of the Revolutionary National Youth League –CDC to memorialize the tragic demise of former Montserrado District #15 Lawmaker Adolph A. Lawrence. The program was attended by National Executive Committee members of the Youth League, Youth Leaders of the seventeen Electoral districts of Montserrado and the Montserrado leadership.
