MONROVIA – The keynote speaker at the 2nd thanksgiving and honoring program of Africa International Institute of science and Technology (AIIST), Sheikh AL Moustapha Kouyateh warned graduates to not be afraid of the pronouncement of failure, citing it is nature in the existence of mankind.
He urged the graduates not to avoid failure, if they are aiming at success, noting that toy must confront failure before getting to success.
“There are many successful people out there, but you will never find a successful person that has never failed. They don’t exist,” he said.
Mr. Kouyateh added: “The difference between extremely successful people in their chosen field of business, is that they ‘don’t give up’, they always find a way where there seems to be no way,”
According to him, those that never succeeded are people that simply learned the other way by avoiding failures.
The commencement speaker disclosed that the greatest lessons in life are learned through failures; adding that there’s no sacrifice in life than that of hard work, which payoff.
“I mean there is no greater satisfaction than in knowing that you are a self-made, as you leave this hall today, take action, while others are sitting on the fence,” he said.
The Pan Africanist cautioned the graduates to considered their certificates as a ‘Win and Learning curve and never to lose’
Sheikh Kouyateh who is considered as one of the continent’s best orators, said to be an entrepreneur, you have to be a leader, to be unique, never to be satisfied, you must always be hungry.
“I want you to be proud but never satisfied, you are a leader that should be followed by the competition to take criticism and negativity, and use it to fuel your potential. You need to be humble in good times to survive the storms and the tough moments,” he averred.
The Liberian entrepreneur said, one can only be a winner if they sacrificed their today for a better tomorrow.
He commended the administration of the school for buttressing government’s pro poor agenda by building the human capacity of Liberians through the modern technology, which he said is the most significant component of the survivability of today’s era.
However, the vocational institution honored Sheikh AL Moustapha Kouyateh for his unwavering support and unrelenting guidance that helped in leading the path of success to many young Liberians
Meanwhile, the AIIST put out 68 graduates in various disciplines.
