Monrovia – Musa Fakolee, a graphics designer has been arrested by the Liberia National Police for allegedly duplicating more than LD$15,000 and a police clearance.

He was arrested early Tuesday morning after a tip-off.
According to him his friend identified as Moses, currently at large, has a money software on his USB drive and brought it to him to print.
The suspect said the money was around 15,000, only L$500 notes were printed. Moses took some of the printed notes and left L$8,500 with Musa.
At today’s buying rate, one United States dollars is equivalent to LD174, 546 while sellers are requesting 175,583 to the dollar, according to the official Central Bank rate sheet. However in some areas the rate is shooting up to 185, bringing the equivalent of currency found on the suspect to US80 at the buying rate today at ECOBANK, one of the leading banks in Liberia.
Musa is currently in the custody of the police undergoing investigation. Only one police clearance was issued to a man who is yet to be identified.
