Monrovia – Liberia’s Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor on Friday, September 12, 2019, joined family members of the deceased accident victims in Gbarnga, Bong County, for the home going ceremony of Moses Beyeah and Patrick Gamah.
The two are among the three fatalities in the tragic motor accident, which took place recently on the Kakata-Monrovia highway which saw a collision between the Vice Presidential motorcade’s escort vehicle and a taxi cab carrying passengers to Bong County.
The Vice President was returning from Bong Mines, in Lower Bong County, where she had served as keynote speaker at graduation exercises of the Botoe Barclay High School.
Accompanied by officials of the National Patriotic Party and Staff members of her Office, VP Howard-Taylor, at the home-going ceremony, expressed her, as well as the Government’s, regrets over the incident and extended condolences to the grieving families. She went further to offer prayers for the speedy recovery of other victims who sustained injuries in the accident.
Several persons, including NPP Chairman John Gray, Senator Henry Yallah and the Bong County Superintendent Esther Walker, among others, also paid tributes to the deceased and consoled the families at the ceremony.
