“We are here for the next three or four days. We are going to talk because there is a dream. And this dream, there are certain hierarchies who want to shut it down but I know we the common people, we are going to make this dream stay alive,” Dr. Tweh said.
For next three days, the OCM Movement headed by its Political Leader Dr. Tweh will hold its convention under the theme “The Hope of Restoration”.
Dr. Tweh and the OCM Movement delegates were given a triumphant welcome by residents of Grand Bassa County especially Buchanan City.
It was an eye-catching event as students, traditional leaders, marketers, and county’s officials paraded alongside Dr. Tweh through the main street of Buchanan City before reaching the St. Peter Claver Catholic High School, the place the program was held.
“I’m so humble. I never one day thought that I was going to be in the great city of Buchanan to be welcomed like this. From the bottom of my heart, I want to appreciate all of you,” Dr. Tweh said.
The political leader of the OCM Movement however promised to stand tall in his fight to liberate the masses of the Liberian people.
“That dream is coming soon. Nobody can shut the masses down but the masses can look up and decide for themselves who will be the best needed for tomorrow and that time is coming,” Dr. Tweh stressed.
He added: “We are here to determine that fact. The fact here is, where is the way forward? Ask yourself if you are better off than yesterday. It’s now time for a sound decision for the betterment of our country.”
Liberia’s next Presidential election is 2029. However, Dr. Tweh says it is unsettled to know the next President of Liberia.
“You might think that 2029 is far away. However, 2029 is just around the corner and we are in a state of dilemma. Who to lead us in the next regime to come. It might not be me. It might not be someone that I know but one thing I’m sure that I will continue to do is to educate the young ones because six years from now these will be the voters that we will be talking about,” Dr. Tweh said.
He added: “This was never my dream but it has become my dream because I love Liberia, I love each and everyone of you. And I think there has to be a better future for all of us. If we all can partake in making Liberia a better place, that is what I stand for.”
