The installation program brought together officers and members from different Lion clubs in Monrovia, including Ducor, Congo Town and Sinkor.
As he read out their duties and responsibilities, the installing officer of the occasion, Mr. Augustine Jarrett, called on the newly elected officers of the club to uphold the policies and achievements of the club.
“Lion officers and directors, the policies and achievements of this club will depend largely on your actions,” he stressed.
He, however, cautioned those elected to not create any debt beyond the income of the club or disburse illegal funds, which will in the end not be essential to the up-liftment of the club.
Giving special remarks, the newly installed president of the Greater Monrovia Lions Club, Bernice S.T. Savanno, stated that being raised by a single mother with everything else that followed, prepared her to be the person she has become.
“Those memories serve as a major catalyst and giving back to the less fortunate has been one of the greatest achievements in my life,” Savanno said.
She, however, called on all the installed officers to work together with their time, money and treasures in overcoming their challenges.
