
MONROVIA – The Christian Revival Church Association (CRCA), an indigenous body of Christ operating in Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone has identified with its members and eight communities in Monrovia and its environs through the distribution of rice and vegetable oil.
The distribution of the 130 bags of rice and gallons of oil, according to the church is intended to ease the financial constraints during this period of coronavirus.
Madam Yassah David, Project Coordinator of the church said the gesture of food distribution to various communities was made possible through the office of the presiding Bishop Rev. Dennis Aggrey and partners of the CRCA.
Mrs. David said CRCA as a body of Christ in Liberia is concerned about the livelihood of its members during such a critical time in the country when everything is at a standstill due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
Peter Town, Brown Town, Jungle Farm, Bassa Town, Duport Road, Pipeline and Central Monrovia.
CRCA Project Coordinator also indicated that the eight communities where the food items were distributed are areas CRCA has it branches.
At the presentation ceremony to the various communities, CRCA distribution team used the occasion to encourage members of the church and other inhabitants who went to receive the kind gesture of food items to abide by the Ministry of Health COVID-19 regulation so as to help defeat the deadly coronavirus.
The team also reminded it members that God has not forgotten Liberia and its people and that they (members) should remain committed to God’s command as Christians.
For his part, the presiding Bishop Dennis Aggrey said that Guinea and Sierra Leone churches of the CRCA will receive aid through financial contributions from his office because of the church is currently unable to reach there.
Aggrey said a CRCA plan is underway to buy an additional one thousand (1000) bags of rice for more distribution to other parts of Liberia.
