Posting on his Facebook page, the CDC Secretary-General stressed that IG Coleman has shown a blatant disregard for the laws of our country, turning the police force into a compromised institution that serves political interests rather than the Liberian people.
According to Koijee, he has documented 22 human rights violations that have been carried out by the government of Liberia, especially state security personnel.
Koijee stated: “Twenty-two human rights violations documented plus a doctored recording from a politically motivated Gregory Coleman only shows the LNP unprofessional Misconduct. As a victim of malicious propaganda, I call on the International Community to investigate the Police over the Capitol Hill fire incident.”
He added: “It is absolutely unacceptable and outrageous that the Liberian National Police (LNP) would release a doctored recording in an attempt to implicate Etheridge Thomas.”
The CDC Secretary General says the level of misconduct in the police and under the watch of Inspector General Coleman
is deeply concerning and further exposes the unprofessionalism and political bias within the police force.
“His (IG Coleman) leadership has allowed corruption to fester, to the point where the LNP is now infested with criminals, including high-ranking officials such as Johnny Bolar Dean, Assistant Commissioner for Crime Services, and Sam Ballah, Deputy Chief Investigator,” he said.
Koijee continues: “These individuals were previously dismissed from their positions for good reason, yet they have somehow been reinstated. Their presence within the police force raises serious concerns about its integrity and the safety of our citizens.”
“Given these alarming developments, I am calling on the international community to intervene. There must be a full and transparent investigation into Gregory Coleman, particularly regarding the LNP’s role in overseeing the Capitol Building before it was gutted by fire,” the CDC strong man said.
According to him, it is simply unacceptable that those who should be impartial investigators have instead positioned themselves as both judge and jury in cases where they have clear conflicts of interest.
“Under Coleman’s watch, there have been 22 documented human rights violations, further endangering the lives of Liberians and eroding what little trust remains in our law enforcement institutions. The citizens of this country should not have to live in fear of those sworn to protect them,” he said.
