Monrovia – Concerns are mounting in Bong County over allegations that local officials, including Superintendent Hawa Norris, have failed to submit a comprehensive report to the county council regarding their administration’s activities.

In recent weeks, residents have raised alarms about the superintendent’s alleged non-compliance with the Local Government Act of 2018, which mandates the submission of reports to both the county council and the Office of the President.
James Kollie, a Bong County native, along with several other concerned citizens, insists that this obligation has not been met or made public.
The concerned individuals have urged local officials to prioritize public accountability and view governance as a service to the people, rather than focusing on personal interests.
When reached for comment, Superintendent Hawa Norris declined to address the issue directly. She stated she would only discuss the matter with journalists she is familiar with and suggested that such concerns should be raised in her office rather than through the media.
In a related development, Bong County Council Chairman Aaron Sakie Fenlah claimed that the nine-member county council had submitted a report to the people of Bong County through a program sponsored by NAYMOTE.
However, NAYMOTE has yet to verify this claim.
