Monrovia – After 30 years, the Bethel World Outreach Ministries International has changed its name to Harvest International Ministries Unlimited with a vision to create “a world where no life dies without Christ”.
Reading the statement, Dr. M. Wolo Belleh of the first diocese of Bethel World Outreach Ministries International said the decision to change the name of the church has been reached and accepted by all sixth dioceses from different parts of the world.
He added that God has allowed the Bethel World Outreach Ministries International to be what he termed as actively involved in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world.
This, he said that the church has taken “great commission” seriously, and have invested time, resources, and human equity into helping people discover Jesus, grow in their faith, and make an impact by serving others.
Dr. Belleh added: “The church over the time has served people in small villages and large cities. From ordinary people in homes made of mud, to world leaders in presidential residences.”
He furthers that the church has provided communities access to clean drinking water; medical aid, clothing, and food in much-needed areas including the building of schools and orphanages.
Dr. Belleh says the church has planted more than 350 churches and fellowships in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, South America, and North America as a mean of preparing the next generation of Christian leaders.
“After 30 years, our commitment to the great commission is even stronger than it was before. Our renewed vision is “A world where no one lives or dies without Christ.
“This decision was not taken lightly, and throughout the course of this transition, we have adhered to the guidelines of our constitution. We are truly excited about the next 30 years. As we move from Bethelites to Harvesters, we are renewing our commitment to helping create a world where no one lives or dies without Christ.
Our new name is both a prophetic revelation and a faith declaration of our purpose and destiny. Each word in our name is significant. ‘Harvest’ speaks of our mission, Intercontinental of our scope, Ministries of our method, and unlimited of our God.
