Liberia: ANC Political Leader Begins a Live Podcast

Monrovia – The Political Leader of the Alternative National Congress (ANC), Mr. Alexander B. Cummings, has begun a flagship program in which he will speak on a variety of national issues, through a live podcast that would be aired on several online platforms and local radio stations.
Mr. Cummings commenced the first live podcast, dubbed “ABC Times,” on Friday, September 20, to enable better interaction with his supporters and the general public.
“We think it is important to define ourselves and for the Liberian people and all our supporters of the ANC,” Cummings stated.
He encouraged his viewers to freely ask him any questions and make suggestions on the way forward for the ANC and Liberia as a whole. He also said that the venue of the live broadcast will be rotational. The first one was conducted right in his office.
“We will sometimes do it in marketplaces but most of the time, it will be done at my party headquarters in Sinkor,” he disclosed.
His assistant, Atty. Moriah Yeakula read out the concerns of viewers from around the world. Mr. Cummings provide answers to those concerns that were read out to him.
Speaking from his office at the Cummings Africa Foundation (CAF) on the Old Road, the ANC Political Leader started up with his biography, including from where the Cummings Family originated and his work experience.
Speaking on ‘Why Am I Aspiring to lead Liberia,’ Mr. Cummings stated that he wants to lead Liberia because he has been incredibly blessed in his life. According to him, because
God has blessed him and his family, one way he can touch the lives of all Liberians is by ascending to the highest office in the land so that he can give back to the country he cares and loves so much.
According to him, his passion and goal is to see a better Liberia where every Liberian can be able to work together for the benefit of all Liberians.
“I believe we deserve a better Liberia. By working together as one people, we can change Liberia for the benefit of all Liberians,” Mr. Cummings stressed.
Moreover, he emphasized that if Liberia should be transformed then all Liberians should join his movement. However, he sounded a clarion that anyone joining him for selfish reasons, including wanting to “chop”, should think twice because he will be the wrong person to follow.
“If you are joining this cause because you want to come and chop, because you want to come and play bigshot, because you want it to be your time, I am the wrong person to follow. We are doing this because we want people who want to work and who believes in Liberians by transforming Liberia,” he revealed.
However, touching on corruption, which is a nemesis to this nation, the ANC’s Political Leader warned that unless Liberians are prepared to significantly minimize corruption and to punish persons found guilty of economic crimes, Liberia will continue to struggle.
“We will continue to be amongst the poorest countries in the world,” he added.
Mr. Cummings maintains that for Liberia to move forward, every Liberian should be able to have equal access to opportunities.
