MONROVIA – Pastor of the Providence Baptist Church has vowed to transform the Liberia Baptist Missionary and Educational Convention if elected as president of that body in the upcoming election.
“I seek the presidency of our Convention based on my record of achievement. I delight in bringing people together to forge change. I want to usher us into a more prosperous future where every member benefits from my leadership,” Dr. Reeves said.
Dr. Reeves said, under his leadership each church will reflect the word of God by creating innovative programs to serve all with a focus on the least of these.
According to him, he envisages the establishment of learning centers and seek opportunities for the real advancement that would improve the Church’s social, spiritual and economic well-being.
He said the value of religious tolerance, respect and love for one another are the bed rock of his vision to contest the presidency.
He added: “I believe everyone – friend or foe – is made in the precious image of God. Each person deserves prayer and respect. Loving and caring for others regardless of power and status, tribe or background are habits of the heart that I have grown to cherish. These values have informed my vision and transformed my relationships.”
He continues: “To find common ground, I have embraced justice and practiced joy, openness and active listening. This has encouraged me to be an example in kindness and courtesy- thus influencing how I treat others.”
Dr. Reeves noted that the best days of the association are still ahead, promising to serve as a humble in the discharge of his duty if elected as president.
“Our best days are still ahead. This is why I support forgiveness, reconciliation and unity as values to live by. Therefore, I promise to serve as your humble servant,” he averred.
The Clergyman noted that if given the opportunity, he will work tirelessly to face the task ahead with his talent.
“I will match task with talent. I will inspire people to give their best to the Lord’s work and discover their hidden potential,” he noted Let us work together with competence and excellence.
