Monrovia – Chief Justice of the Honorable Supreme Court of Liberia, His Honor Francis S. Korkpor, Sr. is expected to launch the first-ever comprehensive Year Book of the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law.
The Year Book project implemented by the Class of 2017 will be launched this Friday at the Law School at around 12:30 pm.
Chief Justice Korkpor will officially unveil the Year Book while the Book review will be performed by the Chief Judge of the Commercial Court, Her Honor Eva Mappy Morgan.
The program will attract an array of legal luminaries including the Dean of the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law, Cllr. Negbalee Warner and other prominent lawyers.
University of Liberia President Dr. Ophelia Inez Weeks and the Vice President of the University will all grace the occasion.
According to Attorney-At-Law Alvin Yelloway, a graduate of the 2017 class, the Year Book project cost about US$6,000 and will see 150 copies produced.
Atty. Yelloway said the students contributed significant portion of the money while corporate sponsors including PetroTrade, the Liberia Institute for Public Administration (LIPA) and the Armed Forces of Liberia all made contributions to the success of the project.
“The project clearly articulates the social and intellectual programs of the law school and includes news stories, special features, profile of sponsors, amongst others”, said Atty. Yelloway.
Atty. Yelloway also said the project will also help to publicize the many good activities taking place at the Law School.
