Monrovia-A Nigerian national bearing a Liberian name- Thompson Farley who is accused of stabbing to death a 34-old man in the New Georgia Community last May is reported to be on the run with his whereabouts still unknown
Family members of the deceased have revealed that suspect Farley who was initially called Darius Thompson changed his name to Thompson Farley to seek job opportunity as a Liberian and was provided a driver job with the Putu Mining in South Eastern Liberia.
The grieving mother of the- deceased Helena Lamadine made the revelations after she walked in the offices of the FrontPageAfrica Monday claiming that her 34-year old son Andrew Lamadine was stabbed on his side by the accused Farley that resulted to Andrew’s death.
She stated that after the incident the accused escaped the scene with the help of two other guys she identified only as Jallah and Doe who came in his defense by preventing the suspect from arrest by community residents after he allegedly committed the act.
Madam Lamadine stated that suspect Farley killed her son when his wife only identified as Courage had told him about a quarrel she had with the deceased which she claimed she was wounded on her finger during the process.
Narrating her ordeal, Madam Lamadine stated that after the quarrel took place between the wife of the suspect and her son she reported the matter to the police but when the police came to their house her son was out.
“I don’t know what this woman told her husband about my son after she informed him the man remarked that he was going to kill my son if he sees him” said Madam Lamadine .
She continued that the suspect paid some guys in the community to pursue her son and bring him over and those guys she identified as Wizzie, Flip Moore and Jeff Freeman went after her son and met him at a gym training and there they convinced him that his mother has come to where the quarrel took place therefore he was needed to go and settle the case which her son refused on grounds that the whole case was over.
“After my son refused the three guys took his T-shirt, phone and this is how he decided to follow them. As they reached to the suspect’s residence he was identified and this was how the suspect used a sharp object to stab my son on his side and he dropped” said Madam Lamadine.
According to Madam Lamadine when her son was stabbed he was taken to the Redemption Hospital in New Kru Town where he was later pronounced dead by doctors on duty.
The tearful mother indicated since the death of her son the police has not taken any action to apprehend the alleged suspect neither have they called in the other individuals who facilitated in the commission of the crime saying the police told her crimes are not transferrable, therefore they cannot hold the other guys who convinced her son to go to where he was later stabbed.
“My son can’t be killed in this manner and the police just sitting supinely and watching the process without any action, we want justice”, said Madam Lamadine.
However, when the Police Public Affairs office was contacted the deputy spokesperson Lewis Norman indicated that the police is not sitting supinely.
He said the police has invited the wife of the suspect and she has made her statement and provided other necessary information though, the wife of the suspect has denied known the whereabouts of her husband.
“The police is looking for this suspect to trap him down which is a process. For now we cannot keep his wife here because she was not the one who allegedly committed this act, crimes are not transferable”, said Norman.
But the mother of the deceased, has differed with Norman adding that the wife of the suspect facilitated in the crime as it was due to quarrel between the wife and her son that led the husband to stab her son, saying she needs not to go unpunished.
