Monrovia – The Liberia Cement Corporation (CEMENCO) has aided efforts of the Ministry of Public Works in the repair of damaged roads in Monrovia and its environs.
Authorities at the Ministry recently embarked upon the repair of damaged roads in the city to improve safety of vehicles and to ensure the free movement of pedestrians.
Potholes in the city center and its environs have caused a lot of traffic congestions, damaged vehicles and caused obstacle in the movement of individuals.
Most of the roads in the city are in very deplorable conditions. This has caused the Ministry to immediately commenced working on these roads.
And it is in that connection that the CEMENCO has decided to intervene and in assisting the Ministry with a consignment of cement to help in facilitating their efforts.
CEMENCO’s general manager, Mr. James Doe Gibson said the gesture was the company’s way of identifying and appreciating the efforts of the Ministry to improve the roads condition around the city.
The director of communications at the Ministry of Public Works, Jusufu Keita, however, lauded the CEMENCO’s management for the initiative.
