MONROVIA- The Independent Media Association of Liberia has honored the chief Executive Officer of the Liberia National Heritage and Culture Development Association Solomon Weawea for enormous service to youth capacity-building and advocacy of women across Liberia.
The president of the Independent Media Association of Liberia James Barclay Walter speaking on behalf of the group, over the weekend, acknowledged the pivotal role of Mr. Weawea generous service to humanity and women advocacy.
According to him, their pick of honoring Mr. Weawea, former Bong County District #4 candidate in the just-ended election was based on his numerous endeavors to youth capacity building and advocacy of women across Liberia.
According to Walter, Hon. Weawea’s indelible role to humanity has landed him the Best Performing Diaspora Male Liberian humanitarian of the year.
“Our selection of Mr. Weawea was on the basis of his tireless workings over the years to humanity, agriculture, healthcare, youth and women empowerment which has made us proud to honor him today for all he has done over the years to serve humanity,” Walter said.
In remarks, the honoree lauded the group for its farsightedness and further assured his willingness to humanitarianism.
“We are interested in serving our people for improved healthcare delivery, youth capacity development, women empowerment and unity among all Liberians,” Mr. Weawea added.
