The graduates hail from four faculties: Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Family Medicine, and Surgery.
Dr. Emmanuel Akimi, President of the West African College of Physicians and Surgeons, based in Nigeria, is expected to deliver the keynote address at the event. Representatives from other West African medical institutions, as well as members of the diplomatic corps and international health organizations, will be in attendance.
Dr. Pratt highlighted that doctors at various hospitals conduct research, gathering data on trends and outcomes to share with their peers. He also noted that some of the presentations at the event will help develop strategies to address emerging health challenges.
The scientific meeting, which aims to gather a large number of medical professionals, dignitaries, and international partners, will focus on exchanging knowledge and experiences. The theme of the meeting is “Making Postgraduate Medical Training in Liberia More Impactful.”
