Liberia: Tragic Road Accident in Paynesville Leaves Three Critically Injured
Paynesville – Three people have been badly injured from a horrific accident involving a vehicle and a motorcycle in the GSA Road Community in Paynesville.
Onlookers and sympathizers who rushed on the scene were left in shock, with some screaming as a broken tibia (the bone that connects the knee and the ankle), of one of the victims was seen lying at the accident scene.
The victims including the motorcyclist and his two female passengers were badly injured and taken to an unknown hospital.
An eye witness, Prince Miller, who narrowly escaped the scene, told FrontPage Africa that he saw the speeding vehicle from the opposite direction smashing the motorbike against the concrete bank of the road.
“I was sitting by the sidewalk, where I usually sit and sell when I saw the car speeding towards the motorcycle. It was like the driver lost control and the next thing I saw was the girl’s bone jumped from her leg and missed me. I was not to myself again (shocked and traumatized), but all I could remember, they were under the car and people came and took them from there,” Miller, still in a total state of bewilderment told FrontPage Africa just moments after the incident happened on Friday evening.
“I am still confused because it is my first time to see human being bone to jump out like that. Thank God that I am still alive because it happened on the exact spot I always sell. I pray for all of them to come through.”
Eye witnesses said, the driver of the car – a blue Toyota Camry with no license plate, escaped unhurt and is still at large.
