MONROVIA – Mr. Mulbah Morlu, Chairman of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), has attributed the current situation of gas shortage faced by Liberians to what he called “errant flaws”.
Speaking at a news conference Wednesday, February 12, 2020 the CDC chairman said, the CDC’s creation as a robust political infrastructure was legitimized by a century of egregious insensitivity to the plight of the ordinary people by a select and privileged few and as a party of hope and redemption for millions of Liberians, the party cannot even countenance to thread the path of errant flaws, that oftentimes dehumanizing citizens.
“While we support government’s efforts to alleviate the fuel shortage, we urge the government of Liberia to also double the efforts in ways that make the transaction of business and movement of our people easier. As such, in solidarity with the people, the true custodians of the Coalition for Democratic Change, the National Executive Committee of the Coalition for Democratic Change has rescheduled the CDC National Retreat to take place on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium, ATS,” he said.
As such, according to Chairman Morlu, the Party’s Reconciliation Roundtable will take place on 6 March 2020 at the National Headquarters of the CDC in Congo Town.
“In light of this adjustment, which is an expedient leadership action in the interest of our people, all District Coordinators in Montserrado’s 17-Districts and adjoining counties are asked to conduct mass meetings in their respective constituencies on Saturday, February 15, 2020 to pass on this message.

“In the meantime, we wish to reassure the general public that the government of Liberia, under the leadership of His Excellency, President George Manneh Weah is taking all the steps necessary to resolve the gasoline shortage within the shortest possible time.”
He thanked partisans for accelerating their readiness levels through their endless commitment and sacrifice during these periods; “District Coordinators, County Chairpersons, Zonal Heads, Youth leaders, Women leaders, Auxiliary groups, CDCeans in the diaspora, etc. Thank you for the collective efforts.
