MONROVIA—Radio Entertainment Limited (REL), a renowned radio gaming raffle betting company, has presented Varney Sheriff with a well-furnished two-bedroom apartment as the first winner of a newly built two-bedroom house situated in Marshall City, Margibi County.

REL is an on-air lottery program on several radio stations, including Voice of Liberia, Freedom FM, Kool FM, and OK FM and other Radio stations. The CEO of Radio Entertainment Limited, over the weekend, presented a well-designed two-bedroom, two-bathroom house to Varney Sheriff as a testament to people who have been doubting the program’s fairness.
According to CEO Reindorf Haligah, Sheriff played nine times, equivalent to LD$1,800, to win himself a house that cost approximately US Thirty Thousand (US$30,000).
He said the program is not only intended for gambling purposes but to help several underprivileged Liberians attain wealth and liberate themselves from extreme poverty.
He also thanked the National Lottery Authority (NLA) and the management of various radio stations that ran the radio programs.
Also speaking, Varney Sheriff, winner of Radio Entertainment Limited (REL) golden jackpot first two-bedroom giveaway, expressed thanks to God for being the first ever winner of
“I want to encourage everyone out there that this is real for everyone to play and be a lucky winner like me who just played nine times on Voice of Liberia, and today I’m a house owner,” Sheriff said.
In remarks on behalf of the National Lottery Authority, Boima Jerome Kannakai, Jr., Director of M&E, lauded REL for its impeccable role in improving the well-being of several Liberians who are involved in a game of chance or lottery.
