Todee District, Montserrado County—In a bid to support education among the youth, Sekou Kalasco Damaro, an aide to former President George M. Weah, has donated L$100,000 to several young people engaged in a car washing venture in the Morris’ Farm Community, Todee District, Montserrado County. The donation is aimed at helping the youth enroll in school for the upcoming academic year.

The cash donation follows a previous donation by Mr. Damaro, where he provided the group with a water-pump machine to assist in their car washing business.
During the cash presentation over the weekend, Mr. Damaro emphasized the importance of education, particularly in light of the country’s challenging economic situation.
“I have been hearing so much about parents struggling to get their children into school this academic year. It breaks my heart, especially when these reports come from Margibi County,” said Mr. Damaro.
He further urged the youth to take full advantage of the opportunity. “I encourage you to go to school because education broadens your mind and creates opportunities for tomorrow. The future of this country depends on an educated society,” he added.
In response, the excited youth expressed their gratitude to Mr. Damaro for his generous support. They vowed to make the most of the opportunity by focusing on their studies and remaining in school.
The initiative by Mr. Damaro, the beneficiaries believe, will uplift them through both car-washing ventures and education and provide them with the tools for a brighter future.
