Paynesville – Dr. Tolbert Thomas Jallah, Jr. delivered an inspiring message at the 7th graduation ceremony of Kingdom Life Academy High School, urging the graduates to embrace faith, gratitude, perseverance, growth, and courage as they step into the next chapter of their lives. The ceremony, held in the Zayzay Community, Paynesville, Montserrado County, brought together graduates, faculty, parents, and distinguished guests in celebration of the students’ achievements.
In his speech, Dr. Jallah focused on the theme, “The 3 Gs & CD: Go with God, and Go with the Courage to Dream”, emphasizing the importance of faith and resilience in navigating life’s challenges. He likened the graduates’ journey to standing at the foot of a staircase, where the top is unseen, but taking the first step in faith is key to success.
Go with God
Dr. Jallah urged the graduates to always seek God’s guidance in their journey, stressing that their achievements were made possible by His grace. “As you embark on this new journey, trust that God is leading you, even when you can’t see what lies ahead,” he said, citing Proverbs 3:5-6 to encourage the graduates to rely on their faith in times of uncertainty.
Go with Gratitude
He reminded the students to reflect on the sacrifices made by their families, teachers, and communities, and to always maintain an attitude of gratitude. “Gratitude keeps us grounded and reminds us of the people who have poured into our lives,” Dr. Jallah stated, encouraging the graduates to honor those who supported them by using their education to uplift others.
Go with Grit
Acknowledging the challenges that lie ahead, Dr. Jallah emphasized the importance of perseverance. “Success is not about how many times you fall; it’s about how many times you get back up,” he remarked, quoting Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He urged the graduates to confront adversity with determination, calling grit the “inner strength that keeps you moving forward when the world says ‘you can’t.’”
Go with Growth
Dr. Jallah also encouraged the graduates to adopt a mindset of continuous growth, urging them to keep learning beyond the classroom. “The world is constantly evolving, and so must you,” he said, emphasizing that education is a lifelong journey. He advised them to seek growth not only in their careers but also in their character and relationships.
The Courage to Dream
Concluding his address, Dr. Jallah emphasized the importance of dreaming big and having the courage to pursue those dreams. He invoked the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., reminding the graduates that dreams are not passive but require hard work and perseverance. “Dream beyond your circumstances. Dream beyond what others say is impossible,” Dr. Jallah encouraged, urging the Class of 2024 to be bold in their aspirations and to make a meaningful impact on their communities and nation.
He concluded with a powerful message: “Go with God, and Go with the Courage to Dream.”
The speech left the graduates and audience members with a profound sense of purpose as they celebrated this milestone and looked ahead to their future endeavors. The ceremony marked a pivotal moment for the graduates, who are now prepared to step into their roles as the next generation of leaders, carrying with them the values instilled by their families, faith, and education.
