THERE IS A REMARKABLE story in the good, old book, the Holy Bible, about the Master Jesus dealing with some hypocrites, who tried to play the holy card with a woman they claimed was caught red-handed in the act of adultery. The story is recorded in the book of St. John 8:4-12 “They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.”
IT IS ALSO WRITTEN, “There is none righteous, no, not one” and that “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
WHY DID WE GO religious in our editorial today?
OVER THE LAST SEVERAL days and possibly more days ahead, the Internet in Liberia will be awash with discussions on the leaked sex tape. There might even be more scenes to be released on the Internet in the coming days.
EVERYONE HAS GOT THEIR own opinions or versions of the intend on the how, why and when of the sex tapes circulating the Internet.
THIS NEWSPAPER HAS BEEN reliably informed that there might possibly be at least 22 more scenes that are yet to be released; all staring one principal participant — Mr. Patrick Wleh — who goes by the alias, Patrick ‘Ronaldinho’ Wleh.
WLEH, WHO PLIES his footballing career in faraway Asia, is one of the dependable players of the Liberia National Football Team, Lone Star. He’s a striker and an outstanding player for the national team.
UNFORTUNATELY FOR WLEH, some pleasurable moments he and some women, who are good in the business of easing tensions, held behind closed doors have now come to the public glare: boy boy, he is being crucified, vilified and torn apart by some in the public, especially women.
SOME IN THE PUBLIC, however, have come to his defense claiming he did nothing absolutely wrong and that the act was a consensual one between two adults.
IN THE FIRST OF FIVE SEX VIDEOS, which are now making rounds on the internet on every smartphone, ‘Ronaldinho’ is conspicuously seen properly positioning the camera so as to capture all their pleasurable moments. He is also heard using some vulgar words as he banged from the rear.
THE LADY IN THIS SCENE IS twice wilfully seen consenting to a request from ‘Ronaldinho.’ He tells her to look at the camera and she gladly does. As she turns to the camera, which is possibly on a phone, she sensually gestures with her tongue, giving Patrick more zeal to continue his striking.
WE HAVE NOTHING much to say here. As they say “Opinions are like noses and everyone has got one,” so will Liberians and others continue poke in this matter.
HOWEVER, WE WANT TO remind all not to trivialize murder, castigate and damn the parties on the leaked sex tapes as “All have sinned.” Let’s help them.
“THOU HYPOCRITE, FIRST cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye;” Matthew 7:5.
SO, ‘RONALDINHO’ AND all others on the tapes, “Neither do I (we) condemn thee: go, and sin no more.”
