Monrovia, Liberia – At a time when the Federation of Lofa Associations in the Americas (FLAA) stands at a critical crossroads, requiring bold leadership, unity, and meaningful action, one name has emerged as a beacon of hope and progress: Madam Minerva Grant.
A seasoned community leader, trusted mediator, and tireless advocate for development, Madam Grant is the candidate of choice for National President of the Federation of Lofaians in the Americas. Her candidacy is backed by a legacy of results-driven leadership — defined by integrity, empathy, and a deep commitment to service.
From Wisconsin to the national stage, Minerva Grant has earned a reputation for bridging divides and delivering real solutions. As President of the Liberian Community in Wisconsin, she empowered her chapter through inclusive leadership. As a Board Member of the Organization of Liberians in Minnesota, she championed collaboration. And as Chair of ULAA’s National Elections Commission, she upheld democratic values during some of the organization’s most pivotal moments.
Her leadership was further demonstrated as National Executive Vice President of the Union of Liberian Associations in the Americas (ULAA), where she played a key role in resolving deep-seated divisions in Central New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Through organizing and overseeing peaceful, fair elections, she helped restore community trust, transparency, and stability.
One of her signature achievements was her leadership of the Liberian Diaspora Initiative Fund, ULAA’s community development vehicle. Through this role, she partnered with the Paynesville City Corporation (PCC) to address waste management challenges and promote sustainable development — proof of her commitment to action over rhetoric.
A mother, grandmother, and lifelong advocate for women and youth, Madam Grant brings not just experience, but heart. She listens, leads with vision, and builds inclusive coalitions. She understands that real leadership is grounded in compassion and guided by purpose.
Minerva Grant’s Vision for Lofa County
If elected President of the Federation of Lofaians in the Americas, Madam Grant promises a bold and inclusive development agenda for Lofa County, built on the following pillars.

Healthcare
She envisions a Lofa where access to quality healthcare is a right, not a privilege. She plans to work with diaspora professionals and partners to expand rural health services, improve maternal and child health care, and strengthen local clinics and community health programs.
Education
Minerva is committed to transforming education by mobilizing resources to improve school infrastructure, train educators, and expand scholarship opportunities — particularly for girls and vulnerable youth. Her goal is to cultivate a knowledge-driven generation prepared to lead Lofa’s future.
Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment
At the heart of her platform is economic opportunity. She will prioritize small business support, youth entrepreneurship, and agricultural innovation to drive job creation and sustainable development across the county.
Unity and Collaboration
A proven unifier, Madam Grant pledges to revitalize dormant FLAA chapters, build stronger ties with traditional leaders and local governments, and ensure synergy between the diaspora and communities in Lofa. Her leadership style will emphasize transparency, inclusion, and mutual respect.
Women’s Empowerment
A fierce advocate for women and girls, she plans to implement leadership training programs, promote financial literacy and independence, and expand educational access to ensure that Lofaian women are active participants in shaping the county’s future.
Minerva Grant is not just running for office — she’s running for the soul and future of Lofa County. She is tough enough to face challenges head-on, compassionate enough to heal divisions, and visionary enough to lead meaningful change.
With Minerva Grant, Lofa wins. The Federation wins. The future is secure.
The 2025 FLAA National Convention will be held from June 20–22, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio. Chapter delegates are required to pay a US$75.00 delegate fee, which covers attendance.
