Gbarnga, Bong County – The Bong County Police Detachment on Monday arrested two suspects from different parts of Gbarnga in connection with the murder of a 29-year-old lady, Angeline Kolleh.

Kolleh’s body was recently discovered decomposed in the Sugar Hill Community in Gbarnga.
The suspects are Washington Turburyei, 19 and 37-year-old Junior Williams.
In an interview with reporters at the headquarters of the police in Gbarnga Monday, Turburyei admitted to his involvement in the murder but indicated that it was Williams who did the killing.
He claimed Williams forced him to help hide the body and clean Kolleh’s room, where the killing occurred.
“I came from the road, as soon as I entered the house; I saw Junior finished killing Angeline. He had the knife and threatened to kill me if I tell anyone,” Turburyei said.
He revealed that he helped Williams to transport the body from the room to a nearby bush and wiped the blood from the floor in the room.
“Since that time, I have been afraid to tell people because of the threats from Junior,” Turburyei added.
He admitted his involvement when a footprint collected from a piece of floor mat containing blood proved to be his footprint following a forensic investigation.
Meanwhile, Williams, who is a brother-in-law to the deceased, denied his involvement in the murder.
He said he visited Kolleh on July 5 in Gbarnga from his village but went back the same day.
“I don’t know anything about what Washington is saying; I did not even sleep in Gbarnga that day,” Williams added.
He is confident that he will be set free. “I know that I will be free from this, I don’t know anything about it.”
The commander of the Crime Services Division of the Liberia National Police in Bong, Kelenso Flomo, said both suspects would be charged and sent to court for prosecution.
