GANTA, Nimba County – Police in Ganta, Nimba county have arrested and charged Nimba county Inspector for buying an AG Yamaha motorbike stolen from a social worker in the county.
The police say the theft happened in September 2020 in Ganta.
During the course of recovering the motorbike, Marck Gblinwon was
developed as a suspect for buying the motorbike from a notorious criminal from Grand Gedeh county.
Gblinwon was arrested on Thursday, February 12, 2021 for receiving stolen property, a first-degree theft of property.
Suspect Gbilnwon confirmed to police that he paid US$ 450.00 to get the bike from a guy who was reportedly accompanied by
Bobby Kimen, a United Nation Development (UNDP) volunteer assigned in the county.
” I was at my house when Bobby Kimen came along with his friend and told me that they were selling a Yamaha motorbike. When I asked them for the receipt if the motorbike they declined,” he said.
Gblinwon is expected to appear in court on Monday February 15,2021.
