The monetary value attached to the medical supplies is placed at two hundred thousand US Dollars ($200,000US).
Among the items donated by MSF are: a plasma separator, tube centrifuge, tube hemolyzer, densitometer, densimat autoclave, microscope, scale manual counter, refrigerator storage boxes, surgical gowns, glove box and essential & non essential drugs.
The donation comes as a significant boost to the Hospital in its quest to dispense the quality of health services to citizens of Nimba and the country as a whole.
This timely intervention is yet another achievement by the hospital under the leadership of Dr. Victor Kaizer, Chief Executive Officer, who has brought changes to the facility since his appointment by President Boakai.
Since his takeover, Dr. Kaizer has introduced Quarterly supply improvement, Electricity supply consistency, Resuscitation of the oxygen plant, Resuscitation of the CT Scan and Expansion of the hospital Nursing Staff amongst several others.
Despite some people opposing to his appointment, Dr. Kaizer appears to have proven beyond all doubts he is one of the best, if not the best appointment the president has made this far. His leadership style is unbending, and Identifies goals and achieving them. He has made robust changes since taking over the hospital.
In addition to the regular supplies, the administration of the hospital under Dr. Kaizer has facilitated the acquisition of vital medical equipment through donations from MSF.
Accordingly, these donations have equipped the hospital with the necessary tools and resources that enhance diagnostic and treatment capabilities and further solidify the hospital’s commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services.
Under Dr. Kaizer, the Jackson F. Doe Memorial Hospital has experienced staff motivational initiatives including salary increment for 21 staffers aimed at recognizing the pivotal roles of employees.
There has also been a huge reduction in the number of contractors and volunteers at the hospital – thus paving the way for full employment of tens.
