An investigation conducted by FrontPageAfrica confirmed that Superintendent Norris has not occupied the facility since its renovation. The decision to vacate the compound has raised questions from Bongese residents, who are concerned about why the county’s highest-ranking official has not taken up residence in a structure that was extensively reconditioned at a cost of approximately $340,000.
Local residents had anticipated that the superintendent would use the renovated compound, given the significant resources allocated to the project by the county administration.
However, when questioned about her absence, Superintendent Norris offered a brief explanation, citing ongoing renovation work. She expressed doubts that the allocated budget of $340,000 was sufficient to complete all renovations, though it was unclear what remained unfinished.
“Not everything people can talk on radio, I don’t want hard time from anyone, please leave me alone,” she responded to a local journalist, signaling reluctance to engage further on the matter.
