<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong><em>Ganta, Nimba County</em></strong> &#8211; Lonestar Cell MTN, one of Liberia’s two GSM companies, has launched a new promotional piece referred to as “21 days of Yello care.”  </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The ‘21 days of Yello care,’ according to the corporate
communications director, Christal Dionne Reeves, was set aside in order to
identify with their customers across the country.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">She explained that every year the company has what they called
corporate social responsibility. To achieve this, they go into various
communities and give back to the communities. They intend to do this promotion,
which is part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, for at least 21 days.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">According to Madam Reeves, the company has for the past years
been in Nimba and Bassa among other places, where they gave back to the
communities.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">She stated that they have taken this promotion to Grand Cape Mount,
Bong and others counties. In some of those counties, they constructed reading
rooms, toilets and other projects.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Lonestar’s Communication Director disclosed that this year’s Yello
Care will focus on teaching students how to make use of the internet and others
facilities of the company and how they can market themselves in the world.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Our Nimba County correspondent said the company will also
train the students how to create email addresses and how to search others useful
networks on the Internet.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">She said the skills been provided to the students will enable
they to sell themselves to the world.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">According to her, Liberia has a youthful populations and the
company has deemed it important to invest into them to make them more
productive in their communities.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The students thanked the GSM service provider for making the
opportunity available for them to have more knowledge about the world.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">She noted that the launch in the city of Ganta was to open
the minds of the students about most of the Internet facilities and how they
can use them.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">They were also thought the use of the various social media
platforms in most parts of the world.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The communications director disclosed that youths are the
future of the country and there is a need for them to explore the world.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">She urged the students to get in the communities to teach
others on how they can make use of the knowledge they have received.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong><em>MONROVIA</em></strong> – The Officer-in-Charge at the NHA Madam Tonia D. Johnson has made her first significant progress when she signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Techno Construction Limited, to build 10,000 housing units in three phases in the country.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">During the signing
ceremony on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, in the conference room of the NHA in Monrovia,
Officer-in-Charge Madam Tonia D. &nbsp;Johnson
re-echoed President George Manneh Weah’s commitment to providing affordable
housing units for the Liberian people and called on Techno Construction Limited
investors to make haste with the project.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">According to a
press release signed by Mr. T. Maxwell Davis, public relations manager, she used
the occasion to express appreciation to Techno Construction Limited’s
administrator Leonardo Inghilleri for the MOU that will enable his company
start the first phase of the project soon. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The first phase
of the project will include the construction of 1,500 units of large housing (3
bedrooms). They will construct additional 500 units of medium-sized housing (2
bedrooms) and another 500 units of small sized (1 bedroom). </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">&nbsp;Phase 2 of the project will be the
construction of 1,500 units of large bedrooms (3 bedrooms); 500 units of
medium-sized housing (2 bedrooms) and another 500 units of small-sized housing
(1 bedroom).</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">&nbsp;The third phase will include the construction
of 2,000 units of large housing (3 bedrooms).</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">&nbsp;Officer-in-Charge Tonia D. Johnson promised
the NHA’s commitment to make its contribution to ensure that the project starts
on time to ensure that Liberians take advantage of the provision to be able to
own their own homes.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">She said the NHA has a responsibility to provide affordable homes to Liberians, and expressed satisfaction with the content of the MOU and promised to work with Techno Construction Ltd, according to the contents of the MOU.  </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">&nbsp;The release further said the overall objective
of the project is intended to benefit Liberians of all categories and therefore
“Liberians must rest assured that the NHA is working with other partners to
ensure that affordable housing units are constructed for them to own their own
homes.”</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">&nbsp;Responding Tecno Construction Ltd
administrator, Leonardo Inghilleri said his company is satisfied with the MOU
and will work with the National Housing of Authority, which represents the
Government of Liberia.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">&nbsp;The National Housing Authority (NHA), is the agency
of the Government of Liberia enacted into law on April 7, 1960, that has the
statutory responsibility to provide affordable homes nationwide through support
from foreign investors who are interested in the real estate sector, the press
release said.</p>
