Monrovia – Senior Professionals have won the 2016 Liberia Football Association (LFA) female national league.

They, however, lost their last game of the season 0-1 to Blanco FC at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) on July 15.
Jallah Corvah’s girls accumulated 39 points, five more than second-placed Earth Angels.
Captain Bernice Willie top scored with 57 goals, 10 more than second-placed Angeline Kieh of Earth Angels.
Speaking to FrontPageAfrica, Willie paid tribute to President Corvah, head coach Naomi Peters, technical staff and players for their hard work and togetherness, which contributed immensely to their success.
“I am today delighted with the record I have set in Liberian football especially among my fellow female football players for scoring the highest goal in the league and also my contribution to our success as champions of the season,” said Willie, who also commended her parents for allowing her to mix football with education.
Corvah was also pleased that his team, who won 13 out of 14 games throughout the season.
“Today is a historic day in our club’s history. We triumphed over our opponents as champions for the first time in LFA female league and the first in our team’s history. So I am pleased to say thank you, thank you and thank you for our achievement.
“At this moment, I am pleased to extended words of praises to the head coach, members of her technical staff and players for their hard work, a hard work that led to our achievement against our opponents in the league today.
“I am urging you all especially my players to also keep your minds focus on your classroom’s studies because you all will not remain in the game forever but what you are to learn in class will remain with you even at your old ages. So gave more attention to your classroom education,” Jallah admonished.
