Mr. Gboto confirmed his status to FrontPageAfrica via a telephone interview and stated that he and his family are undergoing quarantine at the 14 Military Hospital.
“Yes! I subjected myself to voluntary testing. I did my voluntary testing on June 9 and on June 10 I was pronounced positive and taken to the 14 Military Hospital. We are not showing any symptoms; anyway, but because the result said we are positive so we subjected ourselves to the processes. We are under treatment,” Gbotoe said.
Gbotoe also stated that he does not know how he contracted the virus. He urged the public to do voluntary testing for virus to know their status.
“This is not a sickness that you can go to the market to buy. When I leave from here, I am going to be an ambassador to make sure that I spread the message so more people can do their testing and know their status,” Gbotoe emphasized.
Also commenting on the administering of the WASSCE, Gbotoe said despite his health complications, all is set for the administering of the test.
“We have an institution and the office is there. We are ensuring that the office be run smoothly. I am recovering from Covid-19, my headquarters is surely aware of it, the Ministry of Education is also aware of it,” he added.
