Monrovia – The Chief Executive Officer of SEGAL Security, Momo Cyrus has been selected by the editorial board of the African Leadership Magazine to be inducted into the African Leadership Hall of Fame – Class of 2020.
The African Leadership Magazine (ALM) is a leading UK-based pan-African publication in the fore-front of showcasing African excellence and achievement since 2008.
In a communication notifying Mr. Cyrus of the latest feat, ALM said following the SEGAL’s boss previous conferment with the prestigious African Leadership Award as past honoree, he has been meritoriously selected from the magazine’s shortlist of previous awardees to be inducted into the African Leadership Hall of Fame – Class of 2020.
In addition, ALM noted that the selection was based on Mr. Cyrus’ continued contribution to the growth and development of the African business ecosystem and having passed a rigorous screening and vetting by the magazine’s editorial board.
ALM’s Publisher and CEO, Dr. Ken Giami, said Mr. Cyrus will be conferred with the honor and inducted during the ALM Africa Dialogue 2020 – London which is scheduled to hold on January 21, 2020 at the Imperial College in London.
This event will take place on the sidelines of the first ever UK-Africa Investment Summit organized by the UK Government.
The honor and induction, according to ALM, are in recognition of Mr. Cyrus’ towering posturing as a true African Ambassador in business, and his continued contributions to Africa’s socio-economic development.
“Our awards jury, in their approval note, highlighted your exceptional leadership impact on the lives of both your internal and external communities, and your continued unalloyed commitment to excellence as the basis for these honors.
Meanwhile, the SEGAL’s boss, addressing reporters at the security firm’s office in Sinkor on Wednesday, lauded ALM for the recognition and dedicated the award to the staff who he said are the backbone of his success story.
Also on Wednesday, Mr. Cyrus was presented another certificate of honor by the group, under the banner Patriotic Consciousness Association of Liberia (PACA).
PACA’s National Executive Chairman, E. Frederick Baye said the certificate is in “deep appreciation and recognition of Mr. Cyrus dedicated and patriotic services to his country and countrymen.”
Mr. Cyrus, flanked by top staff and security personnel thanked the group and pledged his entity’s commitments to rendering security services to both private and public sectors.
Rebranding SEGAL
Meanwhile, the SEGAL boss has announced the rebranding of the entity’s materials including batches and uniforms.
Addressing a press conference at his office, he disclosed the arrival of a consignment of US$300,000 newly designed and rebranded materials from the People’s Republic of China.
The materials which include uniforms, batches, batons, handcuff and head gear, among others, according to Cyrus, will be distributed among over 3,500 employees across the country.
The rebranding exercise, he added is an innovative way of motivating workers and growing the entity.
SEGAL is currently Liberia’s largest security firm and one of the biggest private employers.
