Ms. Weah came from work and noticed that her one-year-old son was dirty.
She asked the victim to put hot water on the fire to bath her son and after the water was hot she took the victim’s hand and placed it in the fire and burned her left hand.
“She told me to always bath her son sooner but her door was locked so when she came from work she was angry when she saw her son dirty.
“She said I should put water on the fire; when the water was hot she told me to bring the cook pot in and lock the door.
“When I was finished doing everything, she held my hand and put it in the fire.”
“She firstly turned my palm and when she heard it popping then she turned it around for the skin to remove.”
The victim said her step-mother told her to keep quiet and not inform anyone about the incident.
She narrated when her father came from work he noticed the swollen and burnt hand but Weah told him that the victim placed her hand in the cook pot.
‘When my mother (Weah) left I told my father it was her who put my hand in the fire when he was at work, “She narrated.
