Monrovia – A Sierra Leonean Government official who served as Guest Speaker at an award program at the Monrovia City Hall in Monrovia on July 21 has been involved in a terrible motor accident on his way back home.
Justice Minister and Attorney General, Joseph F. Kamara commonly called JFK was involved in an accident while enroute to his country after attending the Golden Image Award, an annual event where individuals and institutions are honored for their contributions to society.
Minister Kamara’s car and a commercial minivan with registration number ALS 748 collided at a 5km distance from the Magbele Bridge in Sierra Leone while traveling from Liberia by road.
The two cars were involved in a ghastly accident during highway speeding. Both vehicles were seriously damaged leaving some passengers also affected as they sustained bruises.
The accident reportedly took place on Saturday after Minister Kamara departed Monrovia where he served as keynote speaker for the awards program on Thursday.
Speaking at the scene the driver assigned to the Attorney General confirmed that the Minister was not physically injured as he only experienced shock as a result of the clash.
The Minister and the rest of those involved in the accident were taken to Mabesseneh Hospital in Lunsar for immediate medical attention.
Opposing parties involved in the accident are blaming the other for the accident and party at fault is yet to be identified.
