Duahzon, Margibi County – The Gospel Harvest Church (GHC), located in Duahzon, Lower Margibi County has completed its seventh anniversary. The G.H.C was established on March 10, 2010.
In observance of the day, the church embarked on the construction of a standardized elementary school that will provide equality education to the every child within Duahzon community.
In observance of its sixth anniversary last year, a ground breaking ceremony was held for the construction of the school.
According to the Founder and the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Peter G. Mah, Jr., the project will help to provide the basic education for children in Liberia. He noted that no country can grow and develop without its citizens being adequately educated.
“If we want our country to be developed, we must educate our children. We must construct this school for our next generation of leaders,” he mentioned.
Pastor Mah who preached in observance of the church’s anniversary said the construction of the school will be the first phase, and it will be a flat top building, and subsequently, it will be extended to a high school.
“We are very happy as a church to be celebrating our seventh anniversary, the word seventh means completion, so we have completed the first phase, and we are looking forward to do more for God.
This is like home coming, we had friends, family members, and well-wishers” he added.
Pastor Mah in a special plea is asking all Liberians, philanthropists, sympathizers and lovers of education to kindly support in any positive way in assisting the school building project.
“I am kindly asking all good people in out of Liberia to rally hands around us and join us in this work.”
“It is for our children; it is will really be good for them. It can be cash or kind, it will make a big difference, “the Pastor said.
