The Editor,
The only remedy that Liberians by birth have and can undertake to prevent the unlawful amendment of Article 28 of the 1986 Constitution of Liberia, is to muster the necessary manpower and resources to file a petition for a Writ of Prohibition before the Supreme Court of the Republic of Liberia. The proposed Amendment of Article 28 of the 1986 Constitution as is, is repugnant and violates the spirit and letter of entire Constitution of Liberia. Liberians most concerned about this unlawful act, must act now or continue to forever blame themselves and their inaction.
God willing, Africa Center for Law and Human Rights (Africa Center for Law), Liberia Nationalist Movement (LNM), and United Liberian Communities in America (ULCA) have come together and will swiftly initiate and file the appropriate petition at the Supreme Court of the Republic of Liberia. Liberians forced to flee Liberia when there was no Liberia and no law and order to protect life and property in Liberia, need to sue and swiftly litigate their peoples and human rights at the Supreme Court of Liberia.
The two days so-called Dual Citizenship Conference held in the State of Maryland, is a major part of Liberia’s problem. Absolutely, its planners and officers have no solution to the proposed amendment of Article 28 of the 1986 Constitution.
Liberians, must stand up and against the unlawful amenment of their Constitution!
Native born Liberians and their children cannot be slaves and second-class Liberians in Liberia while their past and current leaders hold the citizenship of countries other than Liberia and yet be our Presidents, Senators, Representatives, Directors and Ministers and deputy Ministers as they intentionally discriminate against you!
Liberians troubled by this unlawful act are advised to swiftly and ASAP contact us to historically say no to the unlawful amendment of Article 28 of our Contitution.
