Monrovia – The Health Promoter Professionals Association of Liberia (HPPA-L) has commended the Liberia Senate for confirming the new Minister of Health, Dr. Wilhelmina Jallah.
HPPA-L, through its National Coordinator, Mr. Victor Seah, said the Senate’s action signified they are committed to working along with President George Manneh Weah, who does the nomination and sends the names to them for confirmation where applicable.
According to a very brief press release from the health advocacy group, they also commended the new Health Minister for her preferment.
“Dr. Wilhelmina Jallah is an experienced Medical Doctor. She has practiced medicine in Liberia for a very long time; she knows the condition that health workers are faced with in their daily operations.”
Mr. Seah is hopeful that she will work along all the health workers and other partners in order to take the health sector from the dungeon.
The group has also commended all the local partners that are working along with the Ministry of Health to work harder in pushing the President’s “pro-poor agenda,” which also seeks to provide affordable health care for ordinary Liberians.
HPNL has also commended health workers for the tireless services in rendering medical attention to Liberians and for providing their support for the confirmation of their new Minister.
Meanwhile, the Health Promoter Professionals Association boss has expressed his organization’s willingness to work along with Dr. Jallah in order to move the health sector forward.
